Thebe Ya Mosadi – Women’s Day Luncheon

“Destiny: Defining success your way” was a fitting theme for the women’s day luncheon held at the Protea Hotel-Balalaika on 05 August 2014. Women across the group were in full attendance, the air was filled with euphoria and a keen desire to be inspired.

The women all came dressed to the nines, smiles on their faces prepared for an eventful afternoon which MC Mapaseka Mokwele delivered with finesse. The only Thebe Esquire in attendance, Vusi Khanyile, praised women for their role in society and building a strong brand such as Thebe. He noted that every woman contributed in one way or another; giving special thanks to Dineo Molefe who started the Thebe Ya Mosadi forum as well as Zukie Siyotula for caretaking the project in the interim prior to Refilwe Nkadimeng joining the organisation and chairing the forum.

Not only were the ladies treated to good food and company but they were also inspired by the charismatic life coach Queen Ramotsehoa; who reminded them that everyone is a brand and that particular brand is a promise of an experience. She went on to encourage the women to have positive attitudes as, “Attitude is the differentiator,” it is the difference between moving forward and not moving at all.

The ladies were spoiled all afternoon. There were wonderful give-aways as well as goody bags that were designed to make every woman feel special. The panel discussion officiated by Zukie Siyotula; invited women to ask questions around success, womanhood and the challenges of everyday life. Panellists Mpho Letlape, Ipeleng Mkhari, Queen Ramotsehoa and Nonkululeko Gobodo shared their views on these issues as well as stories about their respective paths to success as well as the challenges they had to overcome.

One of the many lessons that everyone walked away with was that in order to define your success, you need to define yourself.
