DECOREX CAPE TOWN PROMISES TO BE A GREAT DAY OUT

A combination of beautiful inspiration, great ideas as well as some fun interactive installations and delicious eats make Decorex Cape Town the ideal place to visit for inspiration and a great day out.

This year, Decorex Cape Town is themed “The Home of Great Ideas”, with a focus on ensuring that visitors leave the exhibition armed with tons of inspiration for making home improvements. A variety of eateries also means that there’s plenty of refreshment for those exhibition-weary feet when visitors need some time out.

Certain to be one of the most entertaining features at Decorex Cape Town, is The Dining & Entertaining Theatre, which will provide fun home-entertaining talks and cooking demos by a host of engaging local chefs, all presented from a beautiful purpose-built kitchen. As the perfect complement to their culinary mastery, this year will also see the launch of a series of interactive styling and table-décor sessions staged in the dining room ‘set’ adjacent to the theatre.

And for those craving a bit of retail therapy, don’t miss the Craft & Create pavilion. This will be the ultimate marketplace for artisans, crafters and smaller local exhibitors where visitors will be treated to a wide choice of limited-edition pieces, thrifty finds and wise buys and, because traders are drawn predominantly from Cape Town and its surrounds, Craft & Create will be a truly local affair.

In addition to the comprehensive showcase of the latest products and services from the décor and design world, Decorex Cape Town is also laying on a number of unique platforms to give visitors a taste of the latest décor, design and lifestyle trends: The Private Property Trend House, the Plascon 2015 Colour Trend Forecast, Cape Town’s most colourful decorator Sarah Ord in the Decorex Designer Spotlight, the Franke Make it Wonderful Kitchen Design Project and Beautiful Boudoirs are just some of the features to look out for.

Spotlight on Talent is a community-inspired showcase of the top talents at Inscape Design College, giving three of their students the opportunity to sample their designs at Decorex Cape Town.

And when you need a break, or want to meet a friend, make a note to relax in one of these delicious Decorex Cape Town restaurants:

The sophisticated Graham Beck Wine Bar, styled by Léan van der MerweInteriors with Home Fabrics will be a space where visitors will want to linger a while over a plate of sushi or a cheese platter washed down with a flute of Graham Beck’s Brut and Game Reserve Range.

Following 2015 trends, blonde wood, black accents and styled with Consol products. The Consol Gourmet Food Market, offers ravenous shoppers a vast choice of delicious meals, with the option to be served in Consol glassware. A truly inspirational showcase displaying the diversity and unique ways of serving food in glass.

And, for those who prefer to shop until they drop and just need a grab-‘n-go latte or something decadent, the Decorex Bistro is the go-to refueling station for delicious coffees and delicacies.
