{"id":1688,"date":"2017-01-09T11:03:38","date_gmt":"2017-01-09T11:03:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thebe.co.za\/thebeblog\/?p=1688"},"modified":"2017-01-09T14:50:54","modified_gmt":"2017-01-09T14:50:54","slug":"first-car-rental-wins-3-acsa-feather-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thebe.co.za\/thebeblog\/2017\/01\/first-car-rental-wins-3-acsa-feather-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"First Car Rental wins 3 ACSA Feather Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Prestigious South African airport awards based only on customer feedback<\/p>\n<p><strong>December 2016<\/strong> \u2013 First Car Rental is proud to announce that three of its airport branches have been named <strong>&#8216;Best Medium Car Rental Operator&#8217;<\/strong> by the Airports Company South Africa (ACSA).<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The branches are: First Car Rental <a href=\"http:\/\/www.firstcarrental.co.za\/branches\/northern-cape.html\">Upington Airport<\/a>, First Car Rental <a href=\"http:\/\/www.firstcarrental.co.za\/branches\/free-state.html\">Bloemfontein Airport<\/a> and First Car Rental <a href=\"http:\/\/www.firstcarrental.co.za\/branches\/gauteng.html\">OR Tambo International Airport<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The annual ACSA Feather Awards recognise top performing airport members for outstanding customer service rendered during the year. The awards are based entirely on customer feedback, which is collected through surveys, face-to-face interviews and \u201cmystery shopper\u201d appraisals.<\/p>\n<p>This data is then analysed by two independent organisations, the Transport Research Laboratory based in the UK and the Airports Council based in Switzerland.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Service elements that are evaluated during the awards judging process include: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Efficiency of staff<\/li>\n<li>Courtesy, helpfulness and friendliness of staff<\/li>\n<li>Car rental checkout processing times<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Says Melissa Storey, Executive Head of Strategy, Development and Marketing at First Car Rental \u2013 \u201c<\/strong><em>First Car Rental constantly strives daily to improve operational and service standards, so we are delighted to receive these sought-after ACSA Feather Awards.
