The Worlds Largest Mining Investment Event

The annual Investing in African, mining Indaba, takes place in Cape Town from the 9-12 February 2015. The Indaba is attended by some of the world’s most influential stakeholders in the industry; including government officials, investors, financiers, and mining professionals. With over 100 countries represented, including over 45 African delegations, it has become the largest gathering of its kind in the world.

Thebe, through its division, Thebe Mining Resources, will be attending the Indaba. Our team, led by Nonhlanhla Mabusela, attends forums, presentations and networking platforms at the conference. Our Minister of minerals resources, H.E, Minister Ngoako Ramathlodi, will deliver a speech, together with other distinguished speakers including former British Prime Minister Mr. Tony Blair.

Over the past years, mining on the African continent has seen some increased activity, interest and investments. One of the standing forums at the Indaba is the sustainable development programme. This forum is presented in collaboration with The International Council on Mining and metals. In our next issue we will report back on the conference and the main themes that were adopted.
